My December (2007) - Kelly Clarkson

Really liked the artwork for the cover. The songs are more rock and not as melodic as her last album, but they all soon grew on me with their intensity and emotions. Probably her strongest album to date? IMHO.

Circus in Motion (2007) - Nightsound

I have never listened to Nightsound's music before I picked up this CD. One of the members had scored for a film project I worked on. I had also missed a live performance by the band. So while I may have been partially obliged to get this CD as a show of support, I was pleasantly surprised by what I thought was a strong showing of melodic pop/rock with strong emotional overtones done right. Definitely one of those CDs that I pull out to listen to time and time again.

She's So Unusual (1983) - Cyndi Lauper

She's one of the first pop stars that I found myself adhered to. And this was her first album that contained the classics 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun', 'Time After Time', 'Money Changes Everything', 'She Bop', 'All Through the Night' and the Prince penned song 'When U Were Mine'.

Shades of Purple (2000) - M2M

Perfect pop at its best with catchy music and lyrics about being young, female and falling in love.

Bathhouse Betty (1998) - Bette Midler

The songs really stand the test of time well. Some of the tunes have a timeless quality to it, and are testament to the Divine Miss M's great vocals. Standout tracks include the loud but catchy I'm Beautiful and Ukulele Lady
